Dr inż. arch. Agnieszka Kasińska-Andruszkiewicz [Faculty of Architecture, PUT, Poznan]
Dr Kasińska-Andruszkiewicz’s research focuses on on themes related to revitalization, regeneration, and activation of urban structures, sustainable planning, and the complexity of contemporary multifunctional architectural objects. As a member of the Institute of Architecture and Spatial Planning, her work focuses on exploring design strategies that prioritize the quality of life for residents and the comfort of users in the creation of cities and architecture. She investigates methods and principles that enable the transformation of urban tissue and suburban areas into spaces that respond to the evolving needs of communities and the natural environment based on the assumptions of sustainable development.
Dr Kasińska-Andruszkiewicz Architect. Scientist. Member of the Greater Poland Regional Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland. She completed a unified master's degree in architecture at the Faculty of Architecture of the Poznań University of Technology. She studied at the Faculty of Architecture at the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées de Strasbourg in France. During her studies, she participated in competitions related to the revitalization of urban tissue, receiving distinctions and awards. In 2012, she began collaboration with the Faculty of Architecture of the Poznań University of Technology, conducting teaching activities at the Department of Workplace and Recreation Architecture of the Institute of Architecture and Spatial Planning. In 2015, she was hired as an Assistant at the Faculty of Architecture of Poznań University of Technology. She obtained the degree of Doctor of Engineering in Architecture and Urban Planning. Her doctoral thesis titled 'The Impact of Large-Surface Commercial Facilities on the Functional and Spatial Structure of the City' was defended with honors. The work addressed the issue of activating the downtown area of Poznań and was awarded the City of Poznań Prize for the Doctoral Thesis in March 2023.
Dr. Kasińska-Andruszkiewicz is affiliated with the international organization Global Urban Development (GUD) and is an active member of the EDIT Poznań team. Member of the EDITUA grant team in the International Driving Urban Transitions Call (2023) and an interdisciplinary team in the Rector's Grant "GREEN TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY - WARTA PP CAMPUS."
From 2008 to 2015, she was employed at the architectural office JSK Architekci Sp. z o.o. in Warsaw, where she was a member of the team designing the National Stadium in Warsaw and the Legia Stadium in Warsaw. Her creative professional work focused on the design of service and sports architecture. Currently, she is concentrating on the design of single-family residential architecture and interiors. In 2015, she obtained building qualifications for unrestricted design in the architectural specialization and became a member of the Greater Poland District Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland.
