The Faculty of Architecture is one of the nine faculties of Poznan University of Technology.
According to the Strategy [1] and the Statute [2] of the University, the Faculty implements education in disciplines:
- architecture and town planning,
- fine arts and conservation of works of art.
At the Faculty of Architecture, students are educated in the following fields of study:
- Architecture - on BSc and MSc studies in Polish and English,
- Interior Design - on BSc and MSc studies in Polish.
The Faculty of Architecture also provides postgraduate studies:
- Spatial planning - trends, legislation, new technologies,
- Investment and design in health care.
Since 2022 the Faculty of Architecture has the authority to grant postdoctoral degrees.
MISSION OF THE FACULTY:
The mission of the faculty is:
- to provide the highest quality of education,
- to create appropriate conditions for study and work,
- to support the scientific development as well as the creative and design activity of the teaching staff.
The Faculty also implements the vision of Poznan University of Technology [1], which by 2030 has the ambition to achieve the status of the country's leading technical university which:
- is well recognized in Europe,
- is an important and sought-after partner for foreign universities,
- guarantees high quality education,
- guarantees a world-class level of scientific and research & development projects.
DEVELOPMENT STRATEGY:
The development strategy of the Faculty of Architecture is consistent with the development strategy of the Poznan University of Technology [3].
The development strategy of the Faculty of Architecture takes into account the existing state of law [4] and the assumptions of the scientific policy of Poland [5].
The strategic objectives of the Faculty of Architecture include:
- in education:
- high quality education at all levels of study,
- in scientific and research activities:
- increasing the efficiency of scientific research,
- increasing the effectiveness of raising funds for scientific and research activities,
- commercialization of research results,
- in management area:
- taking care of the good image of the Faculty,
- continuous improvement of the quality of the staff,
- construction of the new building of the Faculty of Architecture at the ‘Warta’ PUT Campus.
The strategy envisaged that the Faculty of Architecture would be a thriving academic unit with full academic rights and would educate students at all levels of study.
The building of the Faculty will be located at the ‘Warta’ PUT Campus
Modern teaching rooms and laboratories will create conditions for education and research at the European level.
The objectives of the strategy have been mostly achieved.
ACCREDITATIONS:
The high quality of education at the Faculty of Architecture is confirmed by the accreditations obtained from:
- Ministry of Education and Science - 2022 - scientific category A in the discipline of architecture and urban planning,
- Committee for Evaluation of Scientific Units – 2017 – category A,
- Polish Accreditation Committee – 2018 – distinctive grade,
- Accreditation Committee for Technical Universities – 2018 – European quality certificate EUR-ACE® Label.
A diploma of graduation in Architecture allows recognition of professional qualifications in the countries of the European Union, the European Economic Area and the Swiss Confederation.
The diploma provides the opportunity to obtain a license to practice architecture in these countries.
