FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS - CSS/DEAN'S OFFICE

 

During your visit to CSS (Dean's Office):  

  • You will update your student ID card 
  • You will receive a certificate of student status 
  • You will submit an application to the dean (also online) 
  • You will receive a password to access your student account 
  • You will receive a referral for medical tests

What you will not deal with at the dean's office?

  • You will not excuse absences. Absences are excused with the teacher.

3) Where is the dean's office located? 

Service for full-time students (Architecture and Interior Design I and II degree) is provided at the Center for Student Affairs (CSS) in room number 17 in building A1 (with a clock).

4) What time is the dean's office (SSC) open? 

Monday - closed 
Tuesday, Thursday - 11:00 am - 5:00 pm 
Wednesday, Friday - 10:30 am - 2:30 pm

 

5) Can classes be taught/retaken remotely? 

Classes at the Faculty of Architecture cannot be taught or retaken remotely.

7) Where can I find the current class schedule? 

The current schedule can be found in the student's USOS account and on the WA website under “STUDENT > SCHEDULE”. 

 

8) Where can I find the study programs? 

On the Faculty of Architecture website, under the “Student” tab. 

 

9) Are classes compulsory? 

According to the study regulations, participation in exercises, labs and projects is mandatory and controlled by the teacher. Each teacher individually informs about possible absences during the semester. 

 

10) Do I have to attend lectures? 

Lectures are not mandatory, but attendance makes it easier to learn the material  

 

11) Is it possible to get insurance at the university?

12) How do I get a student certificate? 

Please write an email to css.dziekanat@put.poznan.pl with a request to prepare a certificate. Please indicate in which language the certificate is to be prepared - Polish or English. 

 

13) Is health and safety training mandatory? 

Yes, it is mandatory. 

 

14) How can I connect to wifi at the university?

15) How much is the fee for repeating a course? 

Fees are charged in accordance with the Rector's Ordinance on the amount, detailed rules of collection and conditions, mode of exemption from fees in an academic year. Documents can be found at the following link: https://put.poznan.pl/en/node/151

19) When do I have to apply to repeat a course? 

Application for the repetition of a course should be submitted before the beginning or at the latest at the beginning of the semester in which the repeated course will be taken. This is especially important, because before you start the repeated classes you must agree with the teacher on how to deal with them. 

 

20) How can I change my field of study?

21) I want to change the group. How to do it? 

Requests to change a class group are accepted by email at: css.dziekanat@put.poznan.pl . The request must be submitted no later than the first two weeks after the start of the semester.

 

22) How to get approval for Individual Organization of Studies? 

Students who are eligible to apply for IOS are: 
1) particularly talented and outstanding in their studies;
2) in a difficult life situation, i.e. handicapped students, pregnant students, students who are parents, students whose health condition requires it;
3) who participate in sports competitions at the national or international level;
4) who have been assigned numerous tasks in connection with the University's activities;
5) who have been enrolled on the basis of § 3 section 5 and whose learning outcomes have been confirmed. 

If a student meets the above criteria, he/she must submit an appropriate application to the Dean's Office (in person or by e-mail) 

 

23) I am not enrolled in any group, what should I do?

25) How can I renew my ID card? 

You can only renew your ID card at CSS (Dean's Office) consecutively from 15.10 (October) or 15.03 (March)

 

26) How many subjects can I fail in order to continue my studies in the next semester? 

The maximum amount of credits a student can miss to pass a semester is 14 ECTS points. So the number of possible failed subjects is related to how many ECTS points a subject has. 

 

27) How do I get approved for a dean's leave?

28) If I am on dean's leave, do I still have student status? 

During the period of leave, the student retains the rights of a student, with the proviso that the right to benefits for students of the University during this period is governed by separate regulations. 

 

29) I missed the exam, what should I do? 

You should report to the instructor, either a 2nd date will be set, or the subject will have to be repeated.

31) I don't see my ID card / conditional renewal payment in my USOS account, what should I do? 

Please report it to the Dean's Office (CSS).  

 

32) Where should I apply for a scholarship, what are the deadlines for such applications?

33) Can I get a certificate for my grades average? 

Yes, please write an email to the dean's office (CSS) requesting such a certificate.. 

 

34) I can't enroll myself in e-courses, what should I do? 

Please contact the teacher who has the ability to add the student to the course. 

 

35) Are office internships mandatory?

36) I forgot my student account password, what should I do? 

Use the password recovery procedure (if such a possibility has been correctly configured in the system) or report in person to the dean's office (SCC) to receive a new password..

38) I can not get into the parking lot, the ID card does not work.

40) When can I receive my diploma?

41) Can I resume for the diploma thesis exam only? 

If you are struck off for failure to submit a thesis, you cannot resume for the thesis defense only. Resumption is for the final semester of study. 

 

42) I will not be able to submit my diploma thesis by the specified deadline, what should I do?

43) How much do I have to pay for my studies?
