DRAWING COURSE REGULATIONS
- The Drawing School is headed by Prof. Katarzyna Słuchocka, PhD, DSc, Eng., Arch.;
- Registration for the drawing course is required before it begins. No prior drawing experience is required; the course prepares students for the drawing entrance exams at universities;
- The Drawing School curriculum is a proprietary program;
- Classes are taught by faculty from the Faculty of Architecture of the Poznań University of Technology, academic teachers with many years of creative and teaching experience;
- During the drawing course, participants learn:
a) to develop and refine freehand drawing skills, taking into account the principles of perspective based on observation of nature (still life studies, figure studies, architectural detail studies), and imagination (tasks based on the author's themes and themes);
b) basic principles of drawing composition, including developing skills and deepening experience in constructing solids based on observing proportions, comparing the size and direction of the planes and lines of individual compositional components;
c) developing the ability to observe light and shadow, noticing the various contrasts in their impact on the perception of individual elements and the overall composition;
d) developing creative sensitivity;
e) developing spatial imagination;;
f) developing creativity and insightful observation of reality;
- The objectives are achieved through:
a) conducting scheduled four-hour drawing sessions, held on Saturdays and Sundays, excluding holidays;
b) organizing reviews of work completed during classes;
c) organizing weekly reviews of work completed at home (homework);
d) organizing additional individual corrections during classes and reviewing work completed by course participants;
- The course consists of 12 sessions, each 4 hours long, which will be held at Poznań University of Technology in the Faculty of Architecture building, on dates specified in the schedule.
The University informs that absences cannot be made up;
The number of participants per group per instructor will not exceed 12;
The University reserves the right to combine groups, but the number of participants per instructor should not exceed 12;
- Participants are required to bring drawing tools: pencils, erasers, scissors or bookbinding knives, clothespins or adhesive tape, white drawing paper measuring 50 cm x 70 cm, and rigid boards measuring 50 cm x 70 cm;
- Participants are required to complete homework assignments;
- Course participants may bring additional work completed outside of class for consultations.
- Participants are required to present their work to other participants, as joint reviews of completed work will be held.
- Course participants may request additional corrections during the course.
- To join the course, complete the application form, send it to agnieszka.jazwicka@put.poznan.pl, and pay the fee.
- Payment for the course must be made by the designated deadline before the course begins, preferably immediately after registering for the course to ensure a spot (the number of participants is limited).
Cancellation of the course is possible no later than one day before the course begins. In the event of cancellation after the course has begun, the course organizer will not refund the course fee.
- The university reserves the right to make changes to the program within the accepted standards.
- Completion of this drawing course does not guarantee admission to Poznań University of Technology or priority in the admissions process for Poznań University of Technology.
- If a full group is not formed by the specified date, we reserve the right to offer you a course date change or a refund.
Failure to comply with these regulations will result in removal from the list of participants.
