Dominika Pazder, University Prof. [Faculty of Architecture, PUT, Poznan]
In 2001 she graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology with a certificate from the Royal Institute of British Architects. Since 2003, she has been affiliated with the Faculty of Architecture at Poznan University of Technology, where she served as Vice-Dean for Student Affairs from 2012-2015. From 2010-2016, she was employed at the Faculty of Spatial Management at A. Mickiewicz University. Since 2024 serves as Director of the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning at FA PUT.
She is associated with many Polish and foreign associations, including the Society of Polish Urban Planners, European Center for Science Education and Research, and since 2022 Global Urban Development. Since 2023 Member of Advisory Group of Centre for Urban Wellbeing, Birmingham University and GUD Board. Since 2015, he has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Revitalization Forum Association. She is active in the field of urban renewal carried out, among others, in cooperation with the Ministry of Development, the City of Poznan, local governments and non-governmental organizations, also in the field of cultural and educational projects. In 2020 she received the Award of the Minister of Development.
She is the author of about 90 publications, including several author's or co-author's monographs. Her main research interests are in issues related to the renewal of inner-city areas, the interrelationship of spatial and social aspects of revitalization. Scientific and research and implementation activities are devoted to the problems of public spaces, especially in the context of increasing their social attractiveness, improving the quality of life, as well as the broadly understood relationship between man and place, the revaluation of public spaces or placemaking.
